Inspired by her own struggles with identity, Bria uses photography to create a safe space where anyone can exist as their complete selves. A Not so Villianous Origin Story
Bria Thompson Photography was originally named 75th and Yeadon Boudoir. The name 75th and Yeadon comes from the two streets that her family homes were located. Her home on Yeadon in Yeadon, Pennsylvania is the home she remembers most fondly. This home is where her love of yellow stems from, the color being both the color of her home and the color of the roses that grew on the side of the house. This home is also where she remembers chasing fireflies and poking at slugs. On 75th was where her Arizona home resided, this is the family home that has seen the most growth in her, the home that transitioned with her from girlhood into the enigma that is womanhood. This is the home that has seen all the pain and the joy of growing.
It is these homes that shaped her love of still imagery and storytelling. And because of this love 75thandYeadon was created, an exploration of how still images can inspire both traditional and non-traditional storytelling.
